Site Plan
The proposal replaces the existing indoor pool with a new terraced building while largely preserving the outdoor pool landscape. The architecture is embedded in the sloping site and organized as a sequence of accessible levels that open views toward the old town and Fortress Rosenberg while maintaining a low and landscape like presence. A clear circulation concept structures the building with a central entrance hall that connects indoor pools outdoor pools sauna and gastronomy in a logical and easily readable way. The pool hall is conceived as a differentiated spatial landscape with distinct zones for sport learning leisure and relaxation unified by daylight views and acoustic clarity.
The building is based on a hybrid concrete and timber structure designed for material efficiency adaptability and long term reuse. Energy demand is minimized through compact form earth coupling high performance envelopes and extensive green roofs combined with photovoltaic systems. The project aims for a fully regenerative and potentially energy positive operation supported by efficient ventilation water management and renewable heat generation. Overall the design prioritizes spatial clarity environmental performance and a durable architectural expression suitable for long term public use.
